Expertise

Dr. MacAfee's primary area of focus is family planning and she is interested in improving access to both contraception and abortion using health services research.  More specifically, her ongoing research seeks to better understand barriers to reproductive health care for women with substance use disorders.  Dr. MacAfee is also active and interested in undergraduate and graduate medical education particularly around family planning.
