Research Interests

I am a cardiovascular genetic epidemiologist whose primary research focus is on genetic, molecular and biomarker risk factors for lower extremity peripheral artery disease and subclinical cardiovascular disease, especially in diverse populations. A secondary focus of my research is how ectopic fat and muscle relate to cardiovascular risk factors as well as clinical and subclinical cardiovascular disease.
