For the past several years, research in Dr. Brown’s laboratory has been focused on understanding the molecular and epigenetic basis of maternal vascular adaptation to pregnancy. Prior research interests have included studies on the molecular basis of the brain malformation known as holoprosencephaly as well as the development of a method for non-invasive detection of fetal chromosome abnormalities.
