Dr. Peter Moses is Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and a senior member of the section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Moses’ clinical interests include diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Moses is involved with active translational research in serotonin signaling in collaboration with Dr. Gary Mawe (Anatomy and Neurobiology), and the human gut microbiota in collaboration with Dr. Andre Wright (Animal Sciences). Dr Moses is an author of many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He serves as a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, The World Journal of Gastroenterology and Inflammation. He is a peer reviewer for scientific articles that are submitted to many high-impact professional journals including: Gastroenterology, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Neurogastroenterology and Motility and Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Dr. Moses has a national reputation as a clinical scientist and investigator in his areas of expertise and has active collaborative relationships with investigators in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Dr. Moses served previously as Associate Vice President for the UVM Medical Group for outreach and community development.
